Phil Martin believes strongly that we should try to help the most vulnerable in society (especially vulnerably housed people) and understands that most of us are only 2 or 3 dramatic events away from a major personal crisis.
Phil Martin and now Millionaires Together proudly support The Food Bank
With the help of Mercedes Benz Milton Keynes, Phil's property companies supplied this van to the Food Bank and in 2014 Millionaires Together will continue to support this wonderful charity.
To qualify for help, families and individuals have to be referred to The Food Bank by a professional care organisation, such as Social Services, MK Council, Tenant Support Team, Probation Service, Citizens Advice Bureau, Age UK etc.
All Churches, Schools, Sure Start Centres and Doctors Surgeries also have the ability to refer.
These Referral Agencies issue Food Vouchers to families and individuals assessed as needing help from The Food Bank. In this way, only those with a genuine need can benefit from the service.
Under normal circumstances, a maximum of five vouchers would be issued to individuals/families in a rolling 12 months, it is, however, recognised that this number may need to be extended in exceptional circumstances. The Food Bank is happy to work with the Referral Agencies in such cases.
In addition to supporting the Foodbank, Phil Martin is deeply committed to stopping residential repossessions and has successfully helped hundreds of people to sustainably keep their homes.
There is a distinct lack of accurate and available information for families in fear of repossession and so as a start to Phil's plans, comprehensive guidance can now be found at BEAT REPOSSESSION and N244 FORM WORDING
